The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), is seeking to add an experienced SeniorManager of Information Technology (IT) to our team of high-performing professionals.
In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of ADEA’s network environment and computer systems in an organization with 70 users. You will serve as a critical partner to the Director of IT and will be accountable for the administration, trouble-shooting, customer service satisfaction and continuous improvement of the association’s network infrastructure and computer systems.
You will be accountable for the daily operations of ADEA’s office network, internet access, electronic communication, system security and backup, on and off-site end-user support, audio-visual technologies, video production support, management of a webinar studio, and phone system. You will maintain the inventory of IT and AV assets, take initiative in anticipating needs, and recommend and implement upgrades to support ADEA’s users and overall organizational goals. This position reports to the Director of IT.
Manage, maintain and work to improve organization’s IT infrastructure.
Handle customer requests for IT infrastructure support including moves, additions, changes, repairs and inquiries.
Perform day-to-day hand-on administration and oversight of the network and computer systems for ADEA’s 70 users and provide advanced IT technical support for all computer hardware, software, network, telephony and audio-visual equipment.
Conduct helpdesk operations associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported problems. Ensure that all phases of service desk support are properly coordinated, monitored, logged, tracked and resolved appropriately.
Manage and troubleshoot network and security liabilities. Report problems and vulnerabilities to the IT Director.
Manage the state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment in conference rooms and webinar studio.
Supervise an associate or temporary help as needed.
Manage the inventory and track deployment of IT equipment.

Ensure that the network is operating at peak efficiency.
Ensure trouble tickets are resolved timely and with satisfaction rating of High.
Maintain 99.9% availability of on-premise infrastructure.
Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in network operations management in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, information science, electronic engineering or other related majors.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide fast and effective support is required.
Demonstrated track record illustrating ability to see the big picture, be proactive and take initiative in solving problems.
Supervisory experience required; ability to manage staff and vendors as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work well both independently and in team environments.
Solid experience implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DCHP, VMware 6 and above, Veeam, Office 365 administration and services, Azure AD Connect.
Hands-on experience with Cisco firewall and switches.
Experience managing phone systems (Avaya IP Office).
Hands-on experience with Windows 7 and Windows 10, and MS Office productivity suite.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS and other similar cloud hosting environments.
Experience conducting vulnerability assessments.
Experience with automated monitoring tools.
Solid experience with audio-visual technology and supporting webinar production and remote meetings with video and audio feeds via GoToMeeting or similar tool is a requirement.
Vendor certificates in computer networking and Microsoft technologies are highly desirable.
Experience with tools like L-Soft Listserv, Higher Logic is a plus.
Requires occasional after-hours support and some travel, including some weekends.
