The Society of Research Administrators International (SRA International) is looking for an Education Meetings Manager responsible for supporting SRA International Sections with their meetings logistics and programming. The position also supports the Annual Meeting with speaker management and other educational programs such as Awards and Symposium Committees. The Education Meetings Manager prepares project timelines, develops materials and supports volunteer leadership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops and manages comprehensive project timelines to ensure successful programs.
Prepares, oversees and monitors budgets as assigned.
Supports Section leadership as needed, including, but not limited to, maintaining web sites, coordinating with hotels/venues, scheduling conference calls, answering emails, creating and releasing call for speaker proposals and managing speaker confirmations.
Develops, writes, designs and distributes meeting registration materials, program books, web sites and apps.
Responsible for compiling and shipping materials to SRA Section events and handling on-site management and registration.
Develops, surveys, compiles and analyzes evaluation reports for educational activities to determine effectiveness, outcomes measurement, and future needs.
Supports the SRA International Certificate Program by assisting the Certificate Subcommittee with coordinating and tracking certificate reviewer’s approval, providing certificates of completion to members, checking accuracy and keeping records of certificate completion.
Ensures programs meets the required components of accredited (CPE and CLE) continuing education standards and submits necessary reports.
Coordinates speakers for the SRA International Annual Meeting. Confirms audio visual requests, speaker confirmation forms and on-site management.
Serves as staff liaison to SRA International committees as assigned.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Supports Society members with questions about educational programs, transcripts and resources.
Manage multiple projects under established deadlines.
Exceptional organizational planning and analytical thinking skills.
Experience with speaker management and call for proposals.
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in English or other liberal arts areas.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience with association education programs.
Experience working with volunteers.
Creative communication skills with an ability to write text and maintain a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with excellent working knowledge of the English Language.
Friendly, enthusiastic, accommodating to volunteers, members, and colleagues.
Willingness to learn, eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts.
Must be a team player.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and to prioritize tasks and problem-solve, as well as monitor and adjust to unanticipated circumstances.
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience working in learning management systems a plus.
Environmental and Physical Conditions:
Office environment, some lifting required – less than 25lbs
Occasional travel, approximately 10%
Physical requirements will vary at conferences.
