The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the continuing legal education accreditation processes for the association’s meetings, conferences and webinars. The coordinator also provides administrative support for the association’s sponsorship and exhibits operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the continuing legal education accreditation process for FBA national conferences, section and division meetings and webinars, including, but not limited to, submitting CLE applications to states in a timely manner for each event; maintaining detailed records of applications, fees submitted, and course attendance; and submitting attendance records to states as necessary
Monitors compliance with all CLE rules and regulations and granting of CLE credit and ensures that the FBA maintains accredited status on a yearly basis with applicable states.
Schedules CLE webinars to be presented each fiscal year and manages the administration of these webinars, including scheduling speakers, gathering materials, attendee registration, vendor logistics, and communicating with the marketing/communications department as necessary.
Manages all administrative aspects pertaining to sponsorships and exhibits including contract execution, accurate record keeping of sponsorship deliverables, invoices, A/R follow up, thank you letters and notes of acknowledgement, dissemination of sponsorship and exhibit information to staff, and approval of sponsorship marketing collateral
Serves as onsite point of contact for live video webinars through MyLawCLE and notifies staff of monthly filming schedule
Attends CLE and other association education programs as needed and assists with registration procedures, including setup, tear down, lifting materials, and organizing and packing items for shipment
Assists FBA chapters, section/divisions, and members with CLE information request
The qualifications and skills required for this position are as follows:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
One to three years of work experience
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivation and flexibility
Good interpersonal skills, team player but ability to work independently
