Are you an accomplished C-suite Executive Assistant looking for an exciting new challenge to support the CEO of a premier organization with an important mission?
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has developed a learning healthcare system in oncology. This system, CancerLinQ™ (www.cancerlinq.org), aggregates data from the routine care experience of cancer patients to improve the quality of care and health outcomes of all patients with cancer. The Executive Assistant provides direct support to the CEO of CancerLinQ™ in addition to supporting department initiatives and team activities. Your success will hinge on your ability to connect the dots between the CEO, needs of the staff and stakeholders while maintaining strong internal and external relationships. Position responsibilities include:
Provide executive, management, and development support to the newly appointed CEO for CancerLinQ, two Boards, as well as the internal Leadership Team of CancerLinQ
Serve as the “information hub” for internal and external constituents who seek to connect with the CEO and you will be privy to high-level, and often confidential, matters across the organization
Assist the CEO with daily administrative duties and complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that include managing an active calendar of appointments; processing budget items such as expense reports and invoices; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas and compiling documents for meetings.
Serve as the CEO’s administrative liaison to the CancerLinQ Board of Governors and the ASCO Board of Directors and manage Board activities, which include coordinating Board meetings; compiling, assembling, and distributing Board meeting materials
Plan onboarding schedules and department orientations for new hires; serve as back up to other administrative professionals within the department, and provide team support for department projects and initiatives
Qualified candidates should contribute:
Minimum eight years’ related experience with progressive responsibility supporting C-Suite executives; related experience in a technical product development or product sales environment highly desirable
Superior proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Commitment to onsite presence during business hours with the ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective while independently executing multiple priorities
Self-managed with a proven track record of using self-initiative to achieve goals and meet timelines; to use sound thinking skills to address problems, and work effectively in fast paced and demanding situations
Professional presence and demeanor including the ability to protect confidential information
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills at all levels in the organization and with external constituents
Enthusiasm, good judgment, and excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written)
