The American Urological Association (AUA) is the premier association for the advancement of urologic patient care. We are actively recruiting a Digital Communications Specialist within our Marketing & Communications Department.
Responsible for maintaining the AUA’s presence, voice and brand on all web and social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. Assists with implementing a comprehensive social media strategy. Responsible for planning and implementing website updates. Monitors website to ensure information is accurate, error free and compatible with all browsers. Also provides writing, editing and proofing support to the Marketing and Communications team. Monitors digital communications trends.

The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field required.
Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong experience with social media platforms and channels including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and others.
Ability to apply marketing and communication skills to the web, social media and other online applications.
Strong understanding of working within a CMS; experience with Ingeniux a plus.
Basic HTML experience.
Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams within an organization.
Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms, including but not limited to, Google Analytics, HootSuite, TweetDeck, etc.
Able to build effective working relationships with a diverse group of constituents, including consumer audiences and domestic and international physicians.
Able to work well with others.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Internet and Microsoft Office skills required.
Some travel required.
