Why We Need You:
The Account Executive will be responsible for sales of Argentum opportunities to industry supplier companies’ serving the senior living marketplace. This sales position will require volume selling for the expo and print/digital properties, plus a more consultative and targeted sales approach for sponsorships across other properties. Properties to be sold include the Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo, Senior Living Executive magazine, Argentum Daily (digital newsletter), Senior Living Symposium, and Industry Partner Membership.
This position will report directly to the Director of Sales. It is the management team’s goal to provide the support, tools, knowledge, training, inventory, systems, and workflows that will allow you to meet and exceed all sales targets. All efforts will be driven by a desire to grow the sales department and the individuals within it. Our long term vision is to develop future leaders in the association space and the senior living space.
Proactive management and outreach to an established and qualified sales territory, includes frequent communication through phone calls and e-mails to ensure that the Argentum value proposition is being consistently conveyed, sharing updates around new offerings that can enhance customers experience while driving additional revenue.
Deliver effective sales presentations via the phone and email.
New lead and business generation will be ongoing requirements and will need to be accomplished through visiting competitive events, online research, web leads, industry magazines and referrals.
A complete understanding of Argentum offerings including but not limited to trade show exhibit space, sponsorship, print advertising, sponsored content, digital advertising, and custom opportunities.
Ongoing education and understanding of the industry and vertical segments associated with senior living both from a sales and attendee perspective.
Diligent use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for accurate sales activity tracking, sales pipeline management, and sales forecasting.
Collections outreach, when needed, to ensure customer payments are made in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Sales.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree or some college is preferred.
One year or more of sales experience, with any events, sponsorship or related sales experience a plus.
Self-starter with the ability to handle numerous inventory offerings simultaneously.
Consultative sales experience and the ability to engage decision makers.
Solid communication skills (both written and verbal), problem solving skills, positive attitude, creativity, a desire to serve, and a high degree of professionalism/integrity are desired.
The ability to think in an interdisciplinary manner that takes into consideration not just sales needs but also our team, the organization, and members.
Trade show exhibit sales experience is preferred but not a requirement.
Computer skills and database experience required. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics CRM (or similar software), MapYourShow (or similar software), and MagHub (or similar software) is preferred.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.
Additional Salary Information: Estimated Total compensation in year one based on hitting sales goals: $70,000 - $80,000
