The Communications Manager will build and maintain organizational brands and messages for all of the communication platforms and key audiences for our association and our foundation.
Applicants should: possess a minimum of five years of marketing/communications experience, preferably in the non-profit space; exhibit great enthusiasm and initiative for communications projects; be able to think strategically, tactically and critically; have an excellent ability to manage time and projects; possess the skill to positively influence and collaborate with others; and have a passion for both print and digital platforms such web, email, social media, and video.

This position is full-time.
RESPONSIBILITIES This role will have high visibility across all staff and report to the Director of Operations, ensuring the constant flow, consistency and alignment of messages and brand are being proactively built and distributed. Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage all workflows with graphic designer (third party) and provide creative direction/solutions
Ability to generally comprehend technical content and commercial construction matters
Ability to manage and implement basic tasks for all communications vehicles daily including print, mail, email, website, social media and video
The ability to multitask and manage time well, properly prioritizing tasks, and always working within deadlines and budget
Well organized, detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills and sound judgment
Work independently under the leadership of the Director of Operations
Always willing to grow and learn more
Willing and able to travel at least once a year
May include some weekend work/travel
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
At least five years of directly relevant experience, preferably for an association
Working knowledge of marketing & communications best practices, especially for associations
Work from our office
Excellent writing skills for marketing and communications copy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive attitude that focuses on solutions
Microsoft Office required; Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
Working knowledge of SEO and Google analytics and ability to adjust strategies for metrics goals
Keep up with latest digital communications trends to support the currency of our brand
