The Director of Education and Meetings will be a strategic thought-partner and serve on the leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as the ACP and ACPEF continues to enhance its quality programming and capacity building. This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced leader to have an integral role in transforming educational program development format and delivery; while maximizing and strengthening the internal capacity of a well-respected, high-impact organization.
Description of Responsibilities: The Director will lead and serve as the point person for all education and training programs. This position will bring the knowledge of emerging technologies for education delivery systems and be responsible for sourcing a learning management system to aid in the effort. The director will work closely and collaboratively with the continuing education committee to ensure quality speakers and technical and management information is delivered. In addition, you will plan, coordinate, and manage program logistics. As part of this work, the director will assist in the development of marketing and communications strategies that promote all education-related programs. The ideal candidate has experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all education programs and meetings.
Division management and oversight:
In collaboration with the continuing education committee, strategically identify and design programs of value. Advise in the areas of education, knowledge, and professional development for the industry and the association.
Lead and direct curriculum and conference program development.
Leverage the knowledge and expertise of the industry and SMEs to determine industry-wide priorities for training and education, knowledge management, and career development
Direct the selection and development of a learning management system
Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry SMEs in critical and emerging knowledge areas, leveraging these relationships for education and training development.
Align budget to organizational strategic priorities and direction, as defined by the board of directors. Develop and monitor education revenue and expenses.
Continuously identify linkages and education-related applications of activities of all ACP departments. Leverage the capabilities and opportunities of the Education Division to support the plans and goals of other divisions
Collaborate with the Communications & Marketing Division in the promotion of education programs and events
Coach, mentor, and manage division staff for the benefit of ACP, the Education Division, and individual professional goals.
Oversee and maintain ACP’s accreditation as a certified CE provider with ADA CERP, PACE, and the National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC)
Serve as the point person for ACP state-level member and other prosthodontics. organizations seeking CE credits for their education programs.

Bachelor’s degree or CMM certification.
5 to 7 years professional experience in education program development and meeting oversight; association experience a plus.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and program curriculum design. Proven ability to deliver industry-related live and e-learning content.
Financial tracking and budget development experience.
Familiarity with learning management system a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management. Must be willing to learn more applications.
Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organization goals across the organization including best practices in education design and development activities.
