Under the supervision of the director of marketing and communications, the associate director of marketing and creative development leads projects and executes tasks that ensure the success of the marketing and communications initiatives under the ATSSA brand. This position develops, in collaboration with the team, the marketing and communications schedule in support of the association strategic plan; may attend trade shows and marketing-related events; serves as the lead on design work and participates in the overall operations of the department.
-Contributes to the development of strategic and operations plans for the department; assists in developing new ideas and growth opportunities; conducts market research to ensure marketing platforms are relevant.
-Contributes to and Leads Brand Growth through use graphic, design skills, knowledge of social media implementation and an ability and willingness to work collaboratively.
-Contributes to the growth of the ATSSA brand message by leading the development of all visual creative concepts including print, web and digital for public outreach and marketing purposes including ATSSA websites.
-Participates in the planning and scheduling of ATSSA marketing and communications efforts, serving as the lead in the area of visual content development including web, digital, print media, digital ads and promos, social media and other projects as assigned.
-Contributes to the development of the marketing and communications schedule and manages overall adherence to the schedule.
-Leads execution of digital graphics and delivery in accordance with the marketing and communications strategic and operations plans and schedule.
-Manages the development and production of ATSSA marketing related materials, including advertising, social media, Expo Magazine, all ATSSA websites.
-Manages social media activity in accordance with the marketing and communications schedule overseeing design and visual brand enforcement across multiple platforms including the ATSSA blog, social media posts. Oversees and updates all ATSSA websites.
-Measure and report on performance of digital marketing as directed.
-Research and implement digital marketing to ensure ATSSA digital marketing is current and effective.
-May serve as point of contact for vendors, manages vendor relationships and assists in vendor selection.
-Supervises senior marketing coordinator to successful outcomes.
-Tracks expenses and assists with budget preparation as needed.
-Upholds the ATSSA brand and values while working with internal and external teams.
-Serves as back-up to other positions in the department as needed.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in graphic design and at least five years of relevant marketing and project management experience. A combination of relevant experience (7+ years) and education may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
