The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) is seeking a director of member engagement to play a pivotal role developing and implementing strategies that increase AFFI membership and sponsorship while retaining members. This role is designed for someone that is results oriented and passionate about delivering growth across the organization. The incumbent is also responsible for other duties related to member communications, as assigned. This position reports to the Vice President of Strategic Communications.
Leverage external and internal relationships to identify potential new members and sell the value of AFFI membership. Build membership.
Develop and deepen relationships with member companies to match the company needs with Association opportunities and achieve business goals.
Utilize AFFI’s membership database, NETFORUM and other tools, to develop membership reports, track and analyze member engagement.
Identify industry trends, gaps and needs of AFFI members to develop meeting or event content that maximize attendance and engagement.
Work cross-departmentally to develop and execute marketing activities that promote the value of membership benefits and offerings by member need and type (associate member vs processor, for example).
Work cross-departmentally to develop and execute a sponsorship program that garners non-dues revenue.
Develop and ensure delivery of a comprehensive communication plan that informs and engages members from onboarding through renewal. The plan should also include partnering with AFFI’s Finance Department to follow up on delinquent members and initiate the dues billing process.
Serves as head of AFFI’s NextGen program for young professionals within the frozen food and beverage industry.
Lead AFFI’s Associate Member Committee
Travel to attend AFFI events and other relevant industry events, promoting the organization and helping to recruit new members through attendance.
Provide regular updates on membership status to AFFI President & CEO, AFFI Board of Directors and Conferences and Member Services Council.
Perform other duties as assigned.
5+ years of related membership and/or association sales experience.
Self-directed, highly professional, with excellent organizational, written and oral communications, analytic and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to increase revenue while prioritizing a wide range of tasks and meeting deadlines.
