The Marketing & Communications Challenge
To develop and implement marketing plans, budgets, timelines and communication strategies for events, education offerings, conferences, membership renewal, member services and other outreach, that will move this organization to the next level. The department has one full-time employee and one part-time employee and has traditionally worked with contractors for additional functions to produce great results.
Website – Updating content and working with contractors for ever improving function
Member App – Ensuring we have the right content and functionality to exceed member’s expectations
Print Materials – Producing our Annual Report, marketing materials, quarterly newsletter, program guides, brochures, and direct mail.
Online Publications – Producing engaging weekly and monthly online publications to various audiences
Media Outreach – Maximizing our efforts with traditional publications as well as social media
Sponsorship – Securing sponsorship for events and publications that meet both the organization and the sponsors needs
The Membership Challenge
To grow membership through creating a valued membership experience via web engagement, meetings, ongoing communications and volunteer service
Growing Membership – Working with Chapter leaders on the Chapter Recognition program

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for someone with the ability to build a budget, solidify markets, develop and execute marketing plans. Editorial proficiency and strong command of the English language are also important. Direct and indirect sales skills are a benefit. The successful candidate will need a solid handle on new technology tools in delivering the message with tools such as Constant Contact and all social media platforms. The position also requires the ability to learn association management software and database functions for effective targeted marketing deployment.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communication
