The Manager International Chapters is responsible for creating an exceptional experience for affiliate chapters and their leadership.
This position is responsible for the administrative and strategic management of international member relations and expansion. The Manager International Chapters will manage affiliate chapters. This position will play a key role in driving forward GAMA International’s expansion into new international markets. The Manager International Chapters will work closely with all departments to elevate GAMA’s profile in the international marketplace and build strategic partnerships to impact the growth of the organization.
Negotiate, create, and deliver MOU contracts to international partners and chapter members for CEO approval
Collaborate with CEO on the development and tracking of the international budget
Identify opportunities to improve pricing and rebate structure based on chapter participation and support
Assist in negotiation and execution of domestic and international program contracts for CEO approval
Assist international prospects and current chapter members in the identification of preferential benefits based on investment level
Manage relationships with global translation vendors and domestic marketing consultants to ensure successful communication and translation of content and advertisements
Serve as point of contact and provide support for prospective chapter development in various international countries
Assist international partners in selecting and booking speakers for professional development programs
Play an integral role in establishing and maintaining a positive global reputation for GAMA International
Respond to international member inquiries and update association database
Responsible for management of international member marketing and communications working with GAMA’s Marketing and Membership department
Coordinate translation for Greek, Thai, Chinese, Spanish, and Korean digital GAMA International Journal
Performs overall administrative support for all international related initiatives
Work in conjunction with the VP, Marketing and Membership to develop customer service initiatives and protocols, and execute strategic marketing and communication efforts, including the international portion of gamaweb.com
Act as staff liaison and administrative arm for all matters relating to international activities with the GAMA board of directors
Work with the Operations department and database administrator to develop and maintain database integrity
Maintain accurate records of international contracts, membership, and billing utilizing association database and supplemental tracking systems.
Events & Awards
Collaborate with meetings department to generate Asia Conference budget
Work in conjunction with CEO and Meetings Manager to develop and manage our international attendees at GAMA International’s annual domestic conference and Asia Conference.
Negotiate international speaker agreements and commitments
Manage and negotiate international vendor contracts
Coordinate Board meetings between various leaders of international chapters and the GAMA International CEO
Collaborate with meetings department to manage logistics of Asia Conference as well as smaller international meetings.
Manage international speaker selection process of domestic and international conference.
Provide pre-conference and on-site support to international speakers at LAMP USA and LAMP Asia.
Collaborate with marketing department and international partners in the development of print and digital marketing collateral for LAMP Asia.
Exhibit and represent GAMA International at LAMP Asia
Serve as POC for awards program inquiries by international members/chapters
Forecast expenses and generate budget for company awards
Assist recognition department in awards processing.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience with demonstrated success in building and driving membership. (International membership experience preferred)
Global awareness and knowledge of regional customs
Experience in association/non-profit sector
Willing to work outside normal business hours and travel internationally
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Competence with tracking, coordinating and follow-up of priorities and projects
Ability to interact with high-level individuals internally and externally, with professionalism and diplomacy
Knowledge of annual meeting environment and logistics
Ability to multitask and prioritize a number of projects
