The Executive Director (ED) will serve as the strategic leader and advocate for NRHC, partnering with the Executive Committee, staff and key stakeholders to address the dynamic needs of its members and the SFR industry. The ED is responsible for overseeing the association’s operations with a strong emphasis on growing and retaining membership and ensuring NRHC provides a relevant value proposition to its members.
Specifically the ED is responsible for the following:
Board Relations – Builds and maintains a trusting, collaborative, and transparent relationship with the Executive Committee. Provides regular feedback to the Board on strategic, operational, and programmatic matters impacting the organization, keeping them apprised of progress and challenges.
External Relationships – Serves as NRHC/industry primary spokesperson and represents NRHC members before a wide range of constituencies including policymakers, media and other external stakeholders, and participates in industry events.
Advocacy- Serves as NRHC primary advocate at the state and federal level. Oversees all advocacy initiatives including managing outside consultants from strategic direction through implementation.
Public Relations-Develops and implements NRHC public relations efforts. Oversees day to day media relations and external consultants.
Strategic Direction – Develops and implements a long-range strategic plan for NRHC in conjunction with the Board, ensuring NRHC adapts and advances in response to industry trends. Provides leadership in achieving the vision and mission of NRHC and ensures alignment with financial and operational goals.
Membership Value – Ensures NRHC offers a strong value proposition to members to meet their evolving needs. Develops timely and relevant programs and educational offerings to help members adapt to a rapidly changing industry.
Revenue Generation – Builds upon current revenue sources and identifies new value-added services and products to diversify revenue streams.
Financial and Operational Oversight – Provides fiscally responsible administration in an effort to enhance the organization’s financial position, while anticipating market trends that may impact NRHC’s budget.

Master’s degree is preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
