Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (“CFP Board”) – headquartered in Washington, D.C. – is the certifying body for financial planning professionals. It is a non-profit organization that fosters professional standards in personal financial planning through its setting and enforcement of the education, examination, experience, ethics, and other requirements for the CFP® certification.
CFP Board seeks a highly motivated team player to manage the content and strategy of the Financial Planning Knowledge Center website, an online resource for the profession of financial planning. The candidate will develop and execute plans that attract users, drive traffic, and engender user loyalty via created and migrated content. He/She will identify and pursue new opportunities that enhance the value of the Knowledge Center website.

Implements and refines Financial Planning Knowledge Center website content strategy, planning and execution to drive high engagement and align with short and long-term business goals
Develops and optimizes digital content and identifies unique and creative ways to engage target audiences across the website
Develops an on-going strategy for ensuring the Knowledge Center content is current, consistent, audience-appropriate and accurate
Conducts content audits to identify gaps and redundancies in the site content
Maintains a content calendar/roadmap and manages content lifecycle workflow
Edits, organizes, reviews and approves content submitted by contributors
Curates third party content contributions including those from the Wiley Online Library
Creates new or repurposed content in a variety of formats that could include web copy, social media posts, blogs, online contests, interactive graphics, videos, podcasts and email communications
Partners with cross-functional team resources in the communications and technology teams to develop recommendations and identify opportunities to enhance digital content to improve the overall website user experience
Evaluates site performance by compiling and analyzing website analytics to make informed content decisions and recommendations to grow engagement and site traffic
Manages third-party vendors providing core site functionality
Manages the budget for the Knowledge Center website
Works with Center development team to help attract and fulfill sponsorship commitments
Performs other related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or applicable field
CFP® professional preferred, or experience in financial services
4+ years of experience working with digital product development; strong understanding of digital content strategy, including the role of multimedia, curation and analytics
Knowledge of prevailing and emerging financial planning trends
Passion for innovative storytelling and experience producing a wide variety of digital content
Exceptional business literacy and writing/editing skills
Ability to interpret analytic reports and optimize content based on results
Knowledge of content management systems
Solid understanding of user experience, usability, website design, HTML and CSS
Superior interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
Detail-oriented with an editorial mindset seeking to understand what audiences consume and how best to create it
High level of professionalism and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
Self-motivated, organized, and a strategic thinker capable of making high-impact, data-driven decisions
