As the Manager, Education & Events, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead program development of virtual webinars and AAPC’s annual Pollie Awards & Conference, the Political Consulting Event of the Year!
Develop expertise in outcomes-based education for adult learners by ensuring that programming aligns with AAPC certificate program as appropriate
Build project management skills by coordinating speakers, timelines and deliverables for virtual events (webinars) and regional roundtables
Hone your marketing savvy by working closely with others to ensure conference printed and virtual program production, including timely posting of programming on event website and mobile app
Cultivate analytical and contracting skills by assisting with event venue sourcing, including the creation and distribution of detailed RFPs and evaluation of proposals
Improve your detail and coordination skills by assisting with event and venue logistics
Enjoy working with a team of close-knit professionals in a mission-driven organization
The ideal candidate will possess:
An interest in continuing education and professional development
A talent for identifying industry trends and analyzing feedback
A knack for writing in a clear and compelling way
The necessary values to provide stellar customer service to internal and external stakeholders; a sense of urgency, superior attention to detail, and a friendly personable demeanor
Willingness to work off-peak hours and travel to AAPC events as needed
Experience in educational programming and events is a plus
Knowledge of associations is a plus
