The Program Associate, Curricular Resources promotes the preparation of social work graduates who can practice effectively in an increasingly diverse and global practice environment through the development of curricular and educational resources.
The Program Associate, Curricular Resources coordinates the development and promotion of curricular guides and educational resources that exemplify quality and innovation in social work education. The position will continually assess curricular priorities that align with the organization’s strategic plan. In collaboration with the Marketing & Communications department, the Program Associate will organize the web based curricular and educational resources. Working in concert with all other CSWE departments, the Program Associate will ensure that programming aligns with other initiatives and the strategic plan of CSWE.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate the development of curricular guides and resources for areas of specialized practice and emerging curricular topics
Organize and maintain curricular and educational resources on the CSWE website
Convene and coordinate national task forces of social work educators
Serve as project manager for curricular guides and resources
Manage resources and budgets with appropriate discretion, including external funding
Serve a resource and provide expertise to the organization related to curricular resource development and delivery
Coordinate webinar content related to curricular and educational resources and topics
Support membership feedback process and focus groups, including the Education and Policy and Accreditation Process (EPAS)
Serve as a liaison for assigned Commission and Councils and other volunteer leaders
Collaborate with Communications and Marketing team to promote and market curricular resources
Compile and submit programmatic reports
Develop, update, and maintain databases, web resources, and listservs
Develop content for marketing channels—print collateral, email, website, etc.
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:
Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred (e.g., psychology, public health, etc.)
Two years relevant experience, knowledge of social work education or curriculum development required
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; position requires demonstrated collaboration, poise, tact and diplomacy
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, including strong writing and editing skills
Must be able to work independently
IT Skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel 1-2 times per year.
