The marketing manager, under the guidance of the COO, creates and implements marketing plans for the various programs, products, and projects that effectively support goals (event promotion, member awareness, prospecting, retention, member benefits programs, etc.).
Management of a wide variety of marketing projects/campaigns
Develops, implement, and Manage digital marketing campaigns and related social media
Develop market products for use in internal and external marketing
Writes and edits content for marketing campaigns
Coordinate with and provide guidance to stakeholders on implementation of all marketing initiatives
Collaborate with team members to accurately define project scope and goals
Specify project schedule, deadlines, and resources
Monitor and report against all aspects of project progress
Outline potential risks to successful project completion and implement safeguards to minimize issues
Analyze complex data and produce reports to identify business opportunities
Evaluate project performance and make recommendations for optimization
Manage project budgets, costs, invoicing, and related financial tasks
Assist on other projects as needed
Create and coordinating messaging and implementing strategic marketing for programs and events.
Write/Editor for marketing of programs, events, member benefit programs, etc.
Related Web content development and management
Bachelor’s degree desired: marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, English, or related field.
Two-five years experience in marketing/communications, public relations, digital marketing or journalism. Marketing/Communications agency and association experience a plus.
Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills for both print and digital media, with knowledge of AP style. Knowledge and use of proper grammar and punctuation is critical.
Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to plan, manage, prioritize, and implement multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience using and managing social media in a corporate, nonprofit, or association environment.
Superior attention to detail.
Knowledge of web content management systems. Experience with search engine optimization, web analytics, and email marketing software platforms a plus.
Ability to work independently and autonomously while within a team environment.
Experience with market research a plus: Market analysis/segmentation techniques and competitive benchmarking
Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with stakeholders
Experience in collaborating closely with internal clients on the development of communications products.
Ability to think strategically and take initiative on projects.
Ability to communicate effectively by e-mail and phone with internal and external clients.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
Familiarity with Adobe web analytic tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Graphics and design program knowledge a plus.
