DECA, a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Reston, Virginia, that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges across the globe, is seeking a Director of Partnerships.
In collaboration with DECA’s Executive Director, the Director of Partnerships is responsible for developing and expanding partnerships with businesses, colleges and universities, foundations, associations and volunteers that support our mission of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
The Director of Partnerships is also responsible for managing and supervising the partnership team. The ideal candidate is energetic and excited to join a collaborative team. A successful applicant will be self-motivated, ready to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
Job Responsibilities of the Director of Partnerships:
Collaborate with the Executive Director and programs department to identify, recruit, develop and deliver quality partnerships that support DECA’s mission.
Develop partnership strategies to strengthen existing partnership relations and expand DECA Inc.’s partner base.
Design and implement a comprehensive partnership plan that is in alignment with DECA’s mission and newly adopted strategic plan.
Strategically develop and execute prospect listing for potential new partnership acquisitions.
Assist with budget development and projections
Manage and service the existing partnership accounts in collaboration with the partnership team.
Establish clear goals and objectives for the entire department that are trackable, to provide metrics and data on progress.
Develop a plan and create corresponding resources for securing volunteers to judge various programs throughout the year.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of partnership development with an educational non-profit.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead simultaneous projects with accuracy and punctuality.
Ability to interact cooperatively and productively with employees at all levels across an organization and with the public.
