Our client, located in Bethesda, MD, is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide direct administrative and facilitative support to the CEO and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the Executive Office. In this role, you will act as liaison to the board of directors, volunteer leaders, and the association’s leadership team(s) and work across functions and teams in the organization to ensure the CEO’s point of view and needs are represented and met.

Major Responsibilities include:
Work directly with the CEO to provide support to all aspects of their daily work; manage CEO’s daily calendar and support the development and implementation of meeting agendas and logistical arrangements.
Serve as main contact for communications to the executive team and assist administratively to maximize effectiveness.
Act as CEO’s surrogate in the development or consideration of content/work product to be delivered to the CEO.
Develop and manage budgets directly overseen by the office of the CEO, including Board-related budgets; process all expense reports and invoices for the office of the CEO.
Collect data and documents for the executive team; collect information and draft briefing materials and reports; compose, prepare, and follow-up on internal and external correspondence on behalf of the CEO; attend meetings with and on behalf of the CEO, as needed.
Attend the association’s Annual Meeting, providing direct support to the CEO; participate as an adjunct member of the Facilitating Team; manage special projects as assigned.
Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors for general communications, inquiries, and scheduling; attend and take minutes from all Board meetings, Executive Committee calls, and other calls as needed.
Maintain schedule for board meetings; develop and distribute board related correspondence and maintain related documents via the board site.
Assist CEO with agenda setting and material preparation for Board and related meetings.
Oversee key processes related to Board member service, including evaluations and support of the nominations and elections process; facilitate orientation process for new board members, committee chairmen, and staff liaisons.
Manage executive team meetings and other events at the annual conference; collaborate with other staff members to ensure the voice and perspective of the CEO is represented.

College degree preferred, plus ten years of administrative support experience required.
You have experience supporting C-suite senior executive, preferably in a nonprofit organization.

Qualified candidates will have experience supporting C-suite senior executive, preferably in a nonprofit organization and experience working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment with high expectations. A college degree is preferred, however, experience can be substituted in lieu of some of the education requirement. Ideal candidates have a minimum of ten years of administrative support experience producing consistently high-quality work, independently and with minimal errors.
