The American Dental Association is dedicated to promoting the public's health through its initiatives in research, education, advocacy, public awareness and the development of standards.
This position manages membership applications and renewal payments for the dental student market segment, representing a membership market of 22,000 and $110,000 in dues revenue annually. This position serves as the primary contact for internal and external membership questions related to student market segments and data, works within the membership database (Aptify) to maintain all biographical information. The position also manages special projects such as maintenance of the National Signing Day application and provides ongoing administrative support and coordination of student activities within Membership Operations.
BS/BA and a minimum of 3 years' experience of member or customer service experience in an association, customer service, or operations environment. In lieu of a BS/BA a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Ability to problem solve and use independent judgment as well as the ability to collaborate with many levels of staff.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
Must be attentive to detail, and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to manage competing projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, cooperative environment.
Excellent written and oral communication; problem-solving; organizational; analytical skills and strong member service orientation, problem solving and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL & PowerPoint)
Highly Desirable Skills:
BS/BA, preferably in business, or data-related fields.
Previous work experience using a membership or customer database.
