Seeking executive director for a non-profit trade association, NARI-GC (National Association of the Remodeling Industry-Greater Chicagoland).
The Executive Director is an independent contractor who recommends and participates in the formulation of policies within existing policies as they have been approved by the Board of Directors of NARI-GC; plans, organizes, and coordinates the programs and activities of NARI-GC to assure that objectives are attained, plans fulfilled, and member needs met; maintains effective internal and external relationships; and achieves economical, productive performance, forward-looking programming and constructive growth of NARI-GC. The successful candidate should be a self-starter, motivated to grow NARI-GC.
Duties include:
Recruitment of new and retention of existing members for NARI-GC.
Keeping the Board of Directors and Executive Committee fully informed on the conditions and operations of NARI-GC and on all important factors influencing them. Attending the meetings of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Developing policies, procedures and programs to implement the general goals and objectives established by the Board of Directors.
Executing decisions/carrying out such other general responsibilities as may be delegated by the Board of Directors.
Promoting interest and active participation in NARI-GC activities.
Maintaining effective relationships with other organizations.
Monitoring/maintaining NARI-GC accounts via QuickBooks-Online.
Updating, maintaining, and selling monetized segments of the NARI-GC website.
Writing/sending monthly membership newsletter.
Attending/assisting committees via meetings, emails, calls.
This is a part-time, contract position.
Relocation reimbursement is not available.
