For more than 85 years, APA–The Engineered Wood Association has focused on helping the industry create structural wood products of exceptional strength, versatility, and reliability. Combining the research efforts of scientists at APA’s 42,000 square-foot research center with the knowledge gained from decades of field work, and cooperation with member manufacturers, APA promotes new solutions and improved processes that benefit the entire engineered wood industry. APA is a member driven organization and the new President will continue to ensure that the association remains responsive to member needs and is attentive to how APA can best deliver programs. They will be a tireless and passionate advocate for why wood products are effective, safe, and a sustainable option for building in North America. Engineered wood products are evolving, with new and exciting technological innovations changing the way products can be used and the new President will be a strategic thinker who can ensure the organization is well positioned to handle these and future trends. You understand how to navigate and achieve results within multi-stakeholder environments and are collaborative, approachable, and skilled at finding common ground when faced with a complex issue. You possess sound financial management skills and excellent business acumen and will ensure that APA is lean and efficient but mighty in terms of the impact it has for members.
