Alaska REALTORS® is searching for an executive officer who can lead the state association forward and chart a new course. The selected candidate will possess leadership qualities that can bring about and support change for the 1,700 member association comprised of 6 local associations across the state.
This unique opportunity provides overall administration for developing, maintaining and reviewing policies, procedures, meeting core standards and implementing the strategic plan. The executive officer oversees and manages the annual budget, educational programming, communications and events. The position also involves ombuds services for ethics complaints, medications and arbitration involving REALTOR® members on behalf of local boards. Additionally, the executive officer advocates for the rights of private property owners and administers the affairs of the state political action committee and maintains reporting responsibility to the National Association of REALTORS®.
Qualified candidates will have strong ladership skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems; excellent communications skills to market programs and services to members; and the ability to work with a volunteer-led board of directors. Must be well organized and able to multi-task. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required; previous association experience is preferred. Candidates within the state are strongly preferred.
