| DESCRIPTION The Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees TSCPA's day-to-day operations. This position is a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The COO oversees the development of individual and team goals to facilitate the delivery of programs and services to TSCPA's membership. The COO has responsibility to ensure that the Society has the proper operational controls and administrative and reporting procedures in place to effectively grow and thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Key responsibilities of the COO position include: 1) Work closely with the President/CEO to implement programs, policies, and processes that further the mission of TSCPA 2) Establish metrics for measuring progress towards long range goals and objectives 3) Oversee Society programs including membership, communications, and continuing professional education 4) Oversee human resource functions including employee recruitment, retention, evaluation, and training and development 5) Work as part of senior leadership team to develop employee culture focused on continuous improvement, member service, and pride of the TSCPA brand 6) Serve as liaison to TSCPA governing bodies and committees. Assist with planning and execution of Board of Directors, Council, and committee meetings 7) Manage daily operation of TSCPA property, equipment, and technology |
