The Position

Reporting directly to the Chief Member Services Officer and a member of the Leadership Alliance managing ASQ operations, this position is directly responsible for ASQ’s global membership strategy focused on member acquisition, retention, and satisfaction. This is an opportunity to lead and develop a customer-focused membership team and collaborate across business functions to create amazing value for ASQ organizational and individual members.  You will help take the world’s foremost name in quality to new levels of member value. 

• Hires, trains, manages and develops qualified staff to effectively carry out Membership Workgroup functions, providing exceptional member experiences resulting in increased member acquisition and retention.
• Develops a comprehensive strategy to achieve membership recruitment, retention, satisfaction, and budget goals, with an emphasis on attracting and engaging new and next generation members.
• Define value proposition for individual membership and work closely with internal and external partners to bring that message to life with the appropriate target markets for measurable growth.
• Engages cross-functionally in the development and execution of mentoring programs through the Career Pathing project, Emerging Quality Leader Program (EQLP), and others as developed.
• Develop strategy and necessary policies to support engagement in member communities such as myASQ, mobile app, and other social media (i.e. LinkedIn, FaceBook). Additionally, supports activity in event mobile app for networking purposes.
• Develop and manage the annual operating plan and budget to support Membership strategic goals with priority given to membership growth, member satisfaction, and revenue per member.
• Participate in section/division member gatherings as well as represent ASQ in industry meetings as a means of outreach. Occasionally present on ASQ activity and provides membership overview as part of the quality industry and targeted industries.
• Understand ASQ’s governance structure and bylaws performing as an internal subject-matter expert on membership-related activities.

The Location

This position offers a flexible work-from-home option for the ideal candidate. Occasional travel to the headquarters will be required (if the candidate is located out of state) to foster collaborative working relationships with peers and leadership. The headquarters building is located in downtown Milwaukee, in the ASQ Center, immediately adjacent to major freeway exits, The Avenue MKE, and RiverWalk. Our location provides our employees easy indoor and outdoor access to shopping, restaurants and coffee shops.  Our office space is in a historic building incorporating a contemporary workspace; including newly designed workstations, sit/stand desks, and community and collaboration space.
