The Project Manager will set lead scoping sessions, work with ENA key stakeholders to define milestones and tasks, assign individuals to tasks, lead creation of project and communications plans, lead project meetings, track issues/status and report on progress. Areas of responsibility include coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, adjusting for new requirements as required, while managing changes and expectations
Coordinates activities of internal resources and third parties/vendors
Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Collaborates and manages the relationship with project resources and stakeholders to ensure resource availability and allocation
Develops a detailed project plan to monitor, track, and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques (ex. Work breakdown structures, GAMMT charts, RACI’s, critical paths, etc.) to monitor and minimize project risks
Works with project team to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Delegates project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
Tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meets budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Develops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
Contributes to the workplace culture that is consistent with the association’s culture statement and emphasizes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Displays a high level of accountability, taking responsibility for individual actions and the impact on the organization. Views oneself as a reflection of the organization by following through on commitments and accepting ownership.
Performs additional related duties as required or assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar discipline
3 – 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrate excellent multi-tasking abilities, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an exchange of information; collect, compile and prepare work documents; set-up and maintain work files. Use of the computer, with repetitive motion, is approximately 80%.
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment. Occasional travel by may be required.
