Under the direction of the Vice President of Strategy & Engagement and in accordance with the association’s policies and procedures, the Director of Learning & Development is responsible for leadership, vision and strategic planning and the departmental operation for the Professional Development and Events Departments.
This exempt position plans seminars, workshops, and other educational opportunities, and develops & maintains a large departmental budget. This director also works with the state, national, and other local REALTOR® organizations to provide a wide range of educational opportunities and courses leading to professional designations. Provides executive staffing for taskforces pertaining to education & events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the submittal and approval process for all association classes.
Develop and maintain department standards for all classes and events, including but not limited to instructor credentials, session objectives, and operating procedures.
Create and maintain an online learning management platform for REALTORS® by working with instructors, approving curriculum and content, and establishing standard operating procedures.
Develop a curriculum and plan all continuing education courses & specialized trainings for the association, in accordance with the strategic plan.
Conduct, analyze and compute evaluation techniques and tools for all license and continuing education programs. Conduct regular feedback sessions with instructors to improve student experience(s).
Evaluate all instructors and trainers for the professional development seminars, workshops and events within the associations
Keep up with real estate trends and provides up-to-date programs that prepare members to thrive in the evolving market.
Demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of regulations which impact education
Explore opportunities for partnership and collaboration with other associations.
Continually monitor the metrics for the department and evaluates opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with the Events & Education Manager on large scale events and department initiatives.
Review and assist in securing top level sponsors for the association.
Working with the Communications Department for the marketing of programs for educational seminars/events
Identify authors for curriculum development. Oversee the curriculum writing process, negotiate compensation, and negotiate ownership or adoption of new
Communicate with the State and National associations, along with the Department of Business & Professional Regulation about CE and Certification/Designation classes
Serve as a member of the Florida REALTORS® Education Directors Subcommittee.
Oversee submission of CE credits.
Oversee compliance for the real estate commission or
Commits to excellence and high standards as outlined in GTR Customer Service manual
Travels to industry conferences and seminars as directed.
Performs occasional “custodial or housekeeping” tasks when required to ensure a quality experience for event attendees/members.

Additional Salary Information: Salary is Commensurate with experience.
