The Certification Program Manager will work with the CEO to improve the operations and sales of CCMP with the goal of doubling the number of certificants by August 2022. In addition, this role will identify and manage areas for continuous improvement and scoping more substantial projects that will take the ‘advance the discipline’ stream of work forward. The incumbent will also work on new product design. In addition to the management and evolution of ACMP programs and product areas, the Certification Program Manager will develop and manage partnerships that advance ACMP’s programs, products and service and increase the organization’s value proposition.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Standard for Change Management
Together with the CEO and an executive committee, develop a 5 Year strategy for the Standard, including an evolution of the Standard in both form and function, and the steps necessary to achieve it.
Help identify, pursue, and manage strategic partnership to advance and utilize the Standard.
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Standard, including answering questions about the Standard, responding to requests for license agreements, tracking downloads of the Standard, adding new contacts to ACMP’s mailing list from downloads, etc.
Lead the Standard Evolution Working Group to develop Standard Application Guides and lead the efforts to provide and promote the broad-reaching application of the Standard to the change community.
In collaboration with the CEO and marketing team, develop and implement a marketing plan to lift the Standard and related products into view of members and non-members.
Certified Change Management Professional
Review, manage and grow the ACMP certification program.
In collaboration with the CEO and marketing team, develop and implement a marketing plan to double the number of CCMP certificants by August 2022.
Lead the Certification Governance Committee to audit and govern the CCMP Certification, as needed.
Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the current program: application process; test preparation; testing experience and process; certification and re-certification. Leverage hands-on experience with practice analysis and role delineations to ensure the certification program continues to reflect our growing professional practice and that it meets the transitioning needs of the change management community. This includes ensuring the CCMP application evaluation and assessment process is consistent with emerging principles.
Ensure maintenance of official CCMP/QEP records and documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
Develop a 5-year plan that will include expansion of ACMP’ certification offerings to serve practitioner needs at multiple levels.
Qualified Education Provider (QEP) Program
Lead all aspects of ACMP’s QEP Program including the review, improvement and operational management of all QEP processes – eligibility, application, qualification, agreement, onboarding, ongoing administration.
In collaboration with the CEO and marketing team, develop and implement a Communication Plan and serve as the QEP chief relationship manager.
Contribute marketing and communication ideas to promote the Qualified Education Program to the change community.
Lead the QEP Governance Committee to audit and govern the QEP program, as needed.
Develop detailed plans for evolving the current QEP program to address more tailored approach that segments QEPs appropriately based on position and experience in the industry and profession; nature and focus of the QEP’s offering; and the QEPs market reach.
Explore and develop potential QEP collaborations that drive increasing value and programming to the change community; and will be the lead responsible for all future program development.
Skills and Experience
Minimum of 7 years of certification experience. Experience in change management is preferred.
Must be able to build and foster a strong Standard and Certification program that can align to the change management community and can bring forward a body of knowledge that supports best practices in the Standard and Certification community of practice. Technical experience in Association and/or Certification systems are necessary. Must be experienced with developing and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders. (Example: members, volunteers, leaders, staff and external organizations) Must be an architect, problem-solver and have outstanding oral and written qualities.
