We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Field Operations Representative to provide assistance and support for all Navy League volunteer and leadership functions and meetings to include, but not limited to, the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Region Presidents. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Senior Vice President of Field Operations. Responsibilities include preparation and distribution of agendas, schedules, and web-based materials for Navy League events. The ideal candidate shall have the ability to liaison with department heads, including the membership department and the events department, to support large volunteer events, such as the National Convention and the Annual Meeting of Members.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for organizing the Navy League Awards program.
Develop and implement member and volunteer web-based training programs as determined in collaboration with the Navy League Regions, Areas, and Councils.
Work closely with the membership department to provide exceptional customer service to members and councils.
Update and maintain member and council data in Raiser’s Edge database. Ensure that councils “in good standing” are updated appropriately.
Facilitate and lead webinars, video teleconferencing, and distance learning.
Maintain leadership committee materials and overall internal and external field service calendar.
Become the staff resource on Navy League Bylaws and Operations Manual.
Act of staff liaison with volunteer leadership and coordinate field’s inquiries with staff.
Assist department heads in staff administrative support of Council operations.
Other duties as assigned.

There is much of a confidential and sensitive nature involved in this position, which the incumbent must handle carefully and discreetly. The person best suited to succeed in this position shall have a positive personality and be gregarious and diplomatic in working with the Board of Directors and member relations. The incumbent must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure responding to spontaneous requirements, which may necessitate unusual hours in support of the volunteer leadership. The employee must enjoy working with people; a positive sense of humor is a plus. The incumbent must be able to travel to meetings.

Required Education and Experience
Seeking or acquired a B.A. or B.S. degree.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of MS Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skill Requirements. Proficiency in training systems, on-line webinar software, demonstrations, presentations, and verbal and written communications. Customer service experience. Database experience preferred. Membership association experience preferred. Excellent typing, oral, and written communication skills, as well as working knowledge of computer capabilities, ability to work well with a variety of employees, including members of the Board. Strong organizational and time management skills necessary.
Relevant Experience. Minimum of two (2) years in an executive environment. Association and/or non-profit background preferred.
Policy Formulation. Researches, suggests, and prepares recommendations for discussion material and agenda items for meetings. Determines best practices for maintaining communication between councils and HQ regarding training and executive support services.
Responsible for developing plans in conjunction with the President’s Support/Operations budget formulation.
Budgetary Responsibilities. Assists Senior VP, Field Operations as required. Significant development of the preliminary Awards budget. Identifies operational cost savings within the budget and develops cost-saving strategies and policies.
