The Education & Career Services (ECS) team plans, develops, launches, and provides ongoing support for a growing array of educational products for our global Certified Management Accounting (CMA) members. These products include online courses, webinars, podcasts, virtual events, conferences, and career services.
The VP of ECS will lead the ECS team in its mission to develop top quality educational products for management accounting professionals worldwide. This includes driving the global education strategy, ensuring innovative, relevant, professional learning solutions, and directing the teams who design, implement, and measure IMA education products in English and Chinese. The VP of ECS will also oversee high quality product and system platform performance to ensure excellent learner experiences, collaborating with 3rd party vendors, universities, IMA volunteers, and other business partners. Proactively contributing to the senior leadership team’s goals, as well as cross departmental and IMA volunteer initiatives is also an important responsibility. The VP of ECS drives the annual ECS budget, reporting ongoing KPIs and educational achievements, and ensuring an efficient operating environment. Domestic and global travel (4-5 times annually) is required in support of the IMA’s education strategy, IMA member and staff education, and rollout of various educational products.

Proven knowledge of emerging trends relevant to the future of education, latest adult learning trends, and the ability to incorporate such trends into an organization’s learning strategy.
Demonstrated knowledge of training technology advancements and design tools such as gamification, data driven learner “personalization”, AI adaptive learning designs, digitized learning materials, training APPS, MOOCS, flipped and virtual classrooms, collaborative learning forums, focused learnings in digestible pieces, mobile mindset/connections, and social media learning, etc.
Experience with developing educational solutions for a global audience.
Proven success in leading and growing learning and development teams.
Well versed in adult learning philosophies and approaches.
Demonstrated experience in key functions of adult learning product development including strategic planning, needs assessment, product design, development, implementation, and measurement.
Knowledge of various education modes including eLearning courses, in-person events, webinars, virtual events, podcasts, and/or blended learning.
Knowledge of educational tools including latest design technologies, system platforms, course authoring tools, mobile learning solutions, etc.
Experience driving data analytics to better respond to educational results.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s business degree in business, education, or related field. Master’s degree in Training & Development, Organizational Behavior, or Business preferred.
10+ years as a leader in the adult education field for organizations. This includes work experience in adult learning, driving education strategy, developing learning solutions, managing learning and development teams, and managing learning platforms and tools.
Proven track record with strategic goal accomplishments on large initiatives.
Adult education certification such as CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or other adult learning education certifications and/or certificates. If none, education certification required within 12 months of hire. Enrollment in a Learning Leader-style post-grad school program a plus.
Affiliation with educational associations, educational colleague groups and other relevant communities.
