Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imagine (SNMMI) is seeking an experienced Director for the Evidence & Quality department. Reporting to and working directly with the CEO, the Director is responsible for the management of the organization's activities related to the development and maintenance of clinical guidance documents, quality measures activities and healthcare quality initiatives. The Director represents SNMMI in a variety of professional forums, including professional meetings and federal advisory committees. This position also works with Quality and Guidance committees, providing background on quality issues relevant to the practice of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging and implementing plans of action.
Monitor and liaise with relevant regulatory agencies/organizations including, but not limited to: CMS, FDA, AHRQ, PCORI, Joint Commission and the IAC. Develop formal letters and comments on legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to quality initiatives and guidelines.
Oversee the development and revision of SNMMI Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) and their dissemination by working with the clinical decision support mechanism vendors. Maintain compliance with the CMS's requirements to be a qualified 'Provider-led Entity' (PLE).
Manage the content licensing agreements with CMS approved Clinical Decision Support Mechanisms (CDSMs) for AUC and their derivative products; oversee the electronic translation of AUC recommendations and their integration into EHRs.
Oversee the development and maintenance of SNMMI clinical data registry initiative.
Masters in a related field, preferred.
Extensive knowledge of the environment of physician reimbursement with an expert understanding of healthcare policy, evidence-based criteria/guidelines and clinical quality/performance measures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, proven interpersonal and team skills, the ability to work productively and collaborate with colleagues internally and externally, including physical volunteers.
Strong leadership and management skills.
