Customer Service (Certification Specialist)
The International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) is adding a professional to our certification team as a Certification Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Certification, you will assist in overall functions and performance of the Certification department.
Located in Downtown Chicago, IAHCSMM is the membership and certifying body for over 37,000 Sterile Processing professionals in the healthcare field. Our mission is to promote patient safety worldwide by raising the expertise and recognition of our members.
In this Role, you will be responsible for the following:
Serve as point of contact to assist with certification inquires via phone and email to include website navigation, eligibility criteria, application status, verification requests, and exam scheduling.
Conduct data entry and processing of certification applications and examination information.
Process payments for applications and perform daily balancing of all billing postings.
Verify applicants’ documented experience to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
Verify continuing education (CE) to ensure compliance with certification requirements and report on any irregularities in submissions.
Run daily reports to monitor accounts and ensure consistency.
Distribute notices, certificates, renewal statements, and past due notices.
Conduct follow-up on any account issues and resolve complex customer service issues.
Assist with maintenance and integrity of database records.
What you need to be successful in this Role:
Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience Level: 2+ years in a business setting; Association Management a plus.
Technical Skills: Computer literacy, Association Management System, Office 365.
NetForum and ticketing systems a plus
Strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
