CLIENT ASSOCIATION(S): Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) REPORTS TO: Assistant Executive Director, CARRA DIRECT REPORTS: N/A STATUS: Exempt (minimum 37.5 hours/week)
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Membership & Committee Manager provides project management support to CARRA committees and their leadership. The manager works closely with committee leadership to ensure yearly goals with metrics are set, implements committee actions and policies in support of the day-to-day operations of the alliance. This position works closely with the Assistant Executive Director and Committee Leaders for CARRA managing the committee progress, workflow and follow through of committee action items. This role requires a high level of responsibility while exercising discretion and sound independent judgment in performing assigned tasks.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.50 hours/week):
Serve as Committee Manager and primary Committee Chair support for the following CARRA Committees: Membership Committee, Elections Committee, Fellows Sub-Committee, CTP Advisory Committee, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. Additional Committees may be added in the future.
Assist Committee Chairs with yearly goal setting and metrics development.
Work with the CARRA Committee Chairs to manage and support the committee work and progress, including developing of meeting agendas, taking and distribution of meeting minutes, follow up of action items, development, and implementation of reports to track and report on Committee progress.
Ensure Committee charters are reviewed annually, and updates are made as needed.
In conjunction with the CARRA Communications Manager, develop committee-related communications relevant to the CARRA membership and/or public.
Develop slide presentations with Committee Chairs to assist with reporting on Committee progress.
Develop orientation materials and assist in the onboarding of new committee members.
Direct the creation and distribution of new member packets and member benefit promotions and materials.
Manage the CARRA Elections, including development of election communications, collection of candidate materials, and reporting of election results.
Assist CARRA Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director with additional projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately 10 days per year; some evening and weekend work may be required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1-2 years project management experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred; excellent organizational and communications skills; computer proficiency; high accuracy; attention-to-detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
*This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and dedicated weekly days in the office are a requirement of the role.
