Raybourn Group International (RGI) is seeking a full-time communications coordinator to serve an Indiana association client.
RGI is an AMC Institute Accredited Association Management Company. We provide outsourced association management, event planning and consulting services for dozens of non-profits, trade associations and professional societies. Founded in 1988, RGI manages associations of varying sizes and budgets, ranging from local, to regional, to national, to international. On a daily basis, we provide a number of services for our clients, including strategic planning, financial management, executive management, membership development, marketing/public relations, publications and social media, educational/professional development, and meeting/event planning, among others.
Support the association via the communications, marketing, and promotion of events, membership, and overall brand strategy.
Communications and Marketing
Assist with all aspects of planning and executing communication projects, including posting/monitoring/responding/maintaining the association web and social media sites
Write, design, and distribute news releases, marketing collateral, newsletters, email campaigns, and other pieces as identified
Develop, implement, and analyze the effectiveness of monthly social media campaigns (currently Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter)
Develop all event communications including promotional materials, scripts, and signage
Ensure association’s brand guidelines are followed in all communications
Create and maintain forms in the association’s database for members to register for events, sign up for new programs, or request information
Maintain the association’s website via its association database as well as the mobile app
Maintain and regulate content for the association’s blog and editorial calendar
Work with Executive Director and Director of Membership to execute on the association’s communications-related strategies
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant should demonstrate the ability to coordinate all phases of the Association’s marketing and membership communication and be able to work closely with the Executive Director and other staff members to execute the work of the Association, and have:
Education level of a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or comparable related experience
1-3 years of related experience, preferably with a non-profit association; strong, relevant internship experiences will be considered in lieu of other work experience
Experience with copywriting, social media management (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), and graphic design preferred
Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills, with a demonstrated knowledge of AP Style
Proficient in most Microsoft Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills while working as part of a team
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage overlapping production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exercise discretion and independent judgment
Willingness and desire to learn
Occasional in-city travel is required for programs/classes/events, typically occurring during regular business hours but may include early morning and evenings.
3-day annual conference held outside of Indianapolis in most years in July.
Otherwise, the position’s normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the office of Raybourn Group International. Telecommuting or flexible work options may be discussed.
