The ideal candidate is a dynamic, seasoned professional with experience in NJ public policy (business/real estate issues preferred), a strong writer/editor, and a self-starter (organized, attentive to detail) with an outgoing personality and excellent verbal, written, social media, and marketing communication skills. Works closely with leadership, staff and volunteer committee members to achieve goals and objectives.
Primarily responsible for: analyzing legislation and regulatory proposals to craft public policy strategies, messages, comments and testimony (in coordination with CEO, lobbyist and committee members); all association communications (including WeekEnder public policy newsletter, Chapter News, marketing communications, social media content, event scripts, etc.); website content and maintenance; and staffing the Legislative, Legal Action, and Regulatory Affairs Committees, and task forces as needed.
Duties also include attending events, serving as a resource for members, and whatever else is needed to deliver member value, support colleagues, assist with office operations, and ensure that NAIOP NJ maintains its reputation for excellence. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of Personify/Wild Apricot is a plus. Salary range $75-80K (commensurate with experience) with bonus and full benefits package.
