The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) is seeking an energetic, results focused and growth-oriented individual with experience in online education and professional development for the position of Education Coordinator. This is a new position that will support the rapid growth of our continuing education capabilities and is an exciting growth opportunity for the right individual.
The ideal candidate has a special interest in maternal and women’s health, is a self-starter who exhibits strong skills in customer service and project administration, exhibits high level coordination and communication skills, is a creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail who can work both independently and effectively as part of team.
The position requires flexibility as the daily tasks vary based on priority. Specific responsibilities include coordinating continuing education and overseeing the continuing education survey approval processes, providing administrative support to the department, supporting creation of online educational offerings and providing positive, member-oriented, customer service. The individual must be capable of handling a wide range of activities, have excellent people skills, is well organized, and pays attention to detail.
This position may require working under pressure within deadlines, sometimes outside of typical business hours.
Travel may be required up to approximately 5% to support organizational activities.
Supervision Received
___Close Supervision- The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions. Work is checked frequently.
X Supervision- The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
__General supervision- The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
__ Direction: The incumbent establishes methods and procures for attaining specific goals and objectives, and receives guidance in terms of broad goals. Only the final results of work are typically reviewed.

Essential Job Duties
Provides front line customer service for education related inquires:
- Responds to front line inquires around education and events, including CE certificates
- Manages education and events email inbox and provides timely customer service
- Partners with Membership Coordinator to provide an excellent member experience
Supports the delivery of online learning programs (webinars, meetings, courses) including tasks such as:
- Registration set-up and configuration
- Course set-up and configuration
- Provide technical support for virtual learning offerings
- Speaker outreach, follow-up and coordination
- Running attendance reports and ensuring CE certificates are sent out in a timely manner
- Editing webinars and facilitating transition of recordings to learning management system
Coordinates the ACNM continuing education (CE) process:
- Communicates with a customer service focus and in a timely manner to address CE questions and concerns
- Facilitates the CE application process for members and external parties assuring completeness of application materials
- Works with the volunteer committee to maintain a reviewer pool and assigns applications to reviewers.
- Accurately monitors and tracks the reviewing process to assure timely completion and proactively communicates with applicants related to application status.
- Maintains documents used for compliance according to established procedures and compliance checklists
Coordinates ACNM Research Survey approval process
- Communicates with a customer service focus and in a timely manner to address applicants' questions and concerns
- Facilitates the survey review process for members and external parties assuring completeness of application materials
- Works with the volunteer committee to maintain a reviewer pool and assigns applications to reviewers
- Accurately monitors and tracks the reviewing process to assure timely completion and proactively communicates with applicants related to application status
- Maintains documents used for compliance according to established procedures and compliance checklists
- Deploys survey to requested segment of membership
- Creates invoices based on the survey characteristics and process payments
- Utilizes membership database to run reports, creates surveys for distribution to members, coordinates with communications team to send emails
- Provides response rates to applicants

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including 4 or more years of relevant experience in education administration and project management, preferably in a health care related field.
Skills:
- Experience using Association Management Systems. Knowledge of Impexium or Oracle NetSuite a plus.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems. Knowledge of Crowd Wisdom a plus
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Top notch customer service and phone etiquette, with ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to detect patterns to resolve problems, and write progress reports with supporting data.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- High proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp.
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent organizational skills

- Availability for overnight travel to attend meetings and provide on-site assistance; estimated at between 5-10%.
