PURPOSE
The purpose of this job is to contribute to the success of our members, volunteer Chapter Leaders and ACHE Staff.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for advancing ACHE’s organizational goals through outreach and engagement of key stakeholders including Chapter Leaders. The Chapter Relations Manager serves as support to their stakeholders to guide and enable progress toward ACHE goals.
ACHE is a hybrid work environment, requiring 3 days per week in our Chicago loop office.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Chapter Support 60% of time
- Serve as staff liaison to assigned District(s) and provide guidance, assistance, and resources to chapter leaders to foster alignment with ACHE’s vision and mission and strategic plan through virtual and in-person visits to assigned chapters.
- Grow, strengthen, and engage ACHE chapters by providing guidance on chapter operations. Assist in planning and executing strategies that align with ACHE goals and provide a consistent member experience across all chapters.
- Identify and match chapter needs and opportunities with ACHE resources. Inform Chapter leaders about ACHE’s strategic initiatives, programs, products and services, and chapter support tools designed to assist in fulfilling their volunteer roles.
- Collaborate with chapter leaders to help develop and deliver chapter programs, products and services that promote and enhance ACHE engagement.
- Develop and implement customized membership recruitment, retention and advancement plans to support membership growth and engagement.
- Provide quarterly reports on chapter activities and established measures to director, chapter relations and assigned chapter presidents to monitor chapter performance and facilitate inter-divisional involvement where it supports ACHE initiatives.
- Chapter Compliance 20% of time
- Oversees collection of required chapter reporting specified in the Chapter Agreement and tracks compliance using the At-Risk Chapter Report.
- ACHE Field Representative Responsibilities 10% of time
- Articulate the value of ACHE membership to chapter leaders to target CEO’s, Early Careerists, clinician leaders and students.
- Asist in the creation of planning and implementation of chapter-based and national membership recruitment and retention programs within assigned districts.
- Other Responsibilities 10% of Time
- Provide strong and effective leadership to all assigned districts and to ACHE staff.
- Assists with any special projects as directed.
- Completes other job-related duties as assigned.
- Assists with the planning of the Chapter Leaders Conference and chapter activities held during Congress on Healthcare Leadership
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree preferred in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Ideal candidate will have professional experience working with not-for-profits and volunteer leaders in a sales, account management, business development, or consulting capacity.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a related field, preferably with experience in chapter relations
- Understanding of volunteer management and
- Must have strong skills and capabilities in written and verbal communication, time management and organization, data analysis and planning, and information technology. Must be comfortable and adept at presenting to large group sessions.
- Must have strong customer service and teamwork
- Ability to effectively use standard office tools (Microsoft Office).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to memorize a wide variety and type of information.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Judgment to recognize and respond quickly and appropriately to chapter leader behaviors and concerns.
- Ability to travel to chapter strategic planning sessions or board meetings. Estimated twelve in-person visits per year.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
