The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position as a consultant within OSBA's Board and Management Services division. The new Board and Management Services consultant’s responsibilities include working one-on-one with Ohio school board members and administrators in areas of superintendent and treasurer searches, strategic planning, in-district workshops, leadership development, board/administrator relationships and board/administrator evaluations. The successful candidate will also write and edit publication and marketing materials, produce and facilitate original presentations, workshops and training seminars; advise and consult with public school districts; and collaborate with other association staff on internal initiatives and on OSBA's annual Capital Conference.
Knowledge and experience with public school boards, school administration and strategic planning are required. Experience with public speaking, group facilitation and adult training is essential. Candidates must have a college degree in a related field and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong technology skills are important. Significant evening and weekend work and travel in Ohio are required. OSBA offers a competitive salary, benefits and a retirement plan.
