NCSEA serves 44 state-level structural engineers associations and 10,000 members.
Responsibilities As a key member of the NCSEA team, the Events & Meetings Manager will:
Manage the execution of all in-person and virtual meetings and events including the annual conference (NCSEA Structural Engineering Summit), Board of Directors and chapter leadership meetings, and education events throughout the year.
Develop and be responsible for the budget for all meetings and events, with a results-driven and budget-conscious approach to decision-making.
Lead the volunteer committee responsible for supporting the annual conference.
Manage and execute the NCSEA annual awards program, including submittal process, result communications, and award presentations.
Tactical duties include:
Partner with NCSEA’s education staff to coordinate and execute all events and meetings.
Develop new meetings and events for NCSEA (in conjunction with the education staff) to drive revenue.
Partner with NCSEA’s sales staff to support sponsors and exhibitors in all trade show activities, events, and sponsored webinars.
Develop, maintain and execute on a schedule for all events, supporting and leading all staff members involved.
Assist with the development and execution of event marketing and communications, including email content development, website updates, attendee registration forms, event signage, exhibitor prospectuses, and other marketing materials.
Perform administrative tasks in database management and day-to-day association operations.
Complete other projects and responsibilities at the organization’s discretion.
Skills & Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience in events and meetings.
Experience in the association and/or nonprofit field is critical.
Experience with both virtual and in-person events and meetings is critical.
Experience supporting sponsors, exhibitors and attendees is critical.
Demonstrated effective event and meeting management and planning skills are a must.
Certified Association Executive (CAE) credentialing is a plus.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
