Reports to: Executive Director, Education & Research Foundation
Summary
The Education Manager works with internal staff, members and external organizations to effectively support educational programs, products, and services to support the strategic objectives of the association. The Education Manager reports to the Executive Director, Education & Research Foundation.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage and grow NWFA Certified Professionals programs
Coordinate certification events and projects with Technical Services department as needed
Assist Instructional Designer with managing people and teams in Online University
Develop and manage the education program for NWFA’s annual Expo and other meetings as needed
Research and secure speakers for NWFA’s annual Expo and other meeting as needed
Work with technical colleges to coordinate training for local markets
Coordinate apprenticeship program for member company sponsors, high school students, veterans, and others
Work with marketing to monitor and update education portions of NWFA web sites to enhance messaging and outreach
Research and identify member educational needs with guidance from Executive Director, Education & Research Foundation
Maintain consistency and branding for all education programs
Coordinate delivery and execution of all Partners in Education sponsorship deliverables
Assist Advertising & Media Manager with Emerging Leaders Committee
Perform other duties as assigned and required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience implementing education programs
Working knowledge of technical and continuing education best practices
Superior organizational, presentation and communication skills
The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) is an international not-for-profit trade association representing all segments of the hardwood flooring industry, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, installers, importers/exporters, inspectors, and consultants.
NWFA’s mission is to unify and strengthen the wood flooring community through technical standards, education, networking and advocacy.
