The WateReuse Association (WRA) is a growing trade association dedicated to advancing laws, policy, funding, and public acceptance of recycled water. Our membership includes utilities, businesses, and government and academic institutions with an interest in water recycling.
Position Overview
WRA is seeking a creative, energetic, and self-starting Membership and Chapter Coordinator to strengthen support for our members and state sections and improve understanding and value of the role of the WRA state sections as part of the member experience. This role will foster relationships and assist with executing an engagement plan that fuels the work of state sections and effectively deliver the mission of WRA to its members and respective communities. The Membership and Chapter Coordinator will report to the Director of Membership.
What You’ll Do
Chapter/Section relations:
Attend the state section board meetings and provide recaps to key staff
Organize and run the quarterly section leadership meetings.
Support, maintain and expand the use of section webpages.
Support, maintain and expand the use of section team sites.
Develop and distribute section newsletters and leadership briefs.
Organize section reports for quarterly board meetings.
Support sections access to membership lists and contacts.
Member Services:
Serve as the award committee liaison and facilitate the nomination and notification process, as well as support and organize the ceremony at the annual symposium.
In conjunction with the membership director, assist with and support the annual membership renewals process including invoicing, communications, and administration.
In conjunction with the membership director, assist and support member recruitment through engagement opportunities with the section.
Assist with developing and implementing strategies to help sections and all members better utilize these member benefits.
Respond to section and member requests in a timely, efficient, and pleasant manner.
Database Support – Some work in the CRM/database is needed in this role and experience with an AMS system is a plus.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years’ experience working in the non-profit or advocacy sector. Experience in the environmental or water policy industry is a plus.
Excellent administrative, organizational and time management skills with concurrent projects
Highly motivated, self-starter
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Discerning listener
Ability to work effectively with a small team of professionals
Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and database management software, as well as flexibility to learn new programs.
