The Professional Services Council (PSC) seeks a Sponsorship Associate, who will support the sales and fulfillment of sponsorships and advertising. The incumbent would be an energetic, customer service focused, detail-oriented associate. This pivotal position interacts with all stakeholders and requires friendly collaboration with association volunteers and other staff members. The incumbent reports to the Senior Vice President of Membership and Marketing and supports relevant work on PSC’s other activities. PSC is conveniently located near the Ballston Metro Station in Arlington, VA and easily accessible to I-66.
Sponsorship and Advertising Sales
Serves as the primary contact for incoming sponsorship and advertising requests, fielding initial questions on value, costs, and level/type/issues of interest, etc.
Provides the full life cycle support of the research, sales, billing, fulfillment, and reporting in support of the PSC’s sponsorship and advertising goals by:
Researching and analyzing member and non-member companies to generate leads for sponsorships or advertising.
Ensuring all sponsorships or advertising leads are captured and processed into our lead development, database and financial systems.
Supporting key follow-up with potential sponsors and advertisers.
Coordinating meetings and supporting ongoing communication with potential sponsors and advertisers.
Generating reports for insight into potential sponsors and advertisers.
Supporting all invoicing of new sponsors or advertisers.
Coordinating and tracking the fulfillment of benefits including all ongoing communication with new sponsors and advertisers.
Generating reports for insight into sponsor’s and advertiser’s ROI.
Providing support to Annual Partners executives to ensure the highest level of customer service throughout the year.
Supports all data requests including analysis, tracking and report of potential sponsors and advertisers.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures sponsorship and advertising materials are available for all meetings.
Works with the Membership Team to improve the database and its capabilities to meet the changing needs of internal staff and the organization.
Supports the Senior Vice President of Membership and Marketing at events.
Works with the Events Team as needed at physical event locations with event set-up, registration, and take-down.
Works with the Marketing and Events Teams on sponsorship and advertising campaigns and fulfillment including all materials and reports.
Maintains and organizes updates to the sales materials, PowerPoints, and forms, and the sponsorship and advertising sections of the website, etc.
Uses the database to create reports and tools for other departments.
Engages finance department to reconcile receipts.
Recommend and implement new department efficiencies.
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years relevant work experience in membership, customer service and/or sales.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally in a creative, fast-paced, intellectual team environment.
Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to interact in a professional manner with the highest levels of corporate/civic constituents.
Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience of MS Office.
Knowledge of IMIS or other CRM software.
Must be able to lift 25lbs and stand on your feed for extended periods of time.
Occasionally travel when needed for events, including weekends.
Energetic/outgoing personality is a plus.
Technologically savvy or willing to learn.
