To take ownership of the Society’s vital membership operations and select marketing programs. This individual will join a multi-person team to provide professional and direct assistance on a regular, ongoing basis as the primary point of contact for telephone, written communications, and more – largely concerning membership questions, password/login assistance, etc. The SFPE Membership and Marketing Associate will also directly lead the Society’s mailed invoicing efforts and ensure continued oversight of automated renewal processes. Additional responsibilities include generating various membership contact lists, compiling data on select membership metrics, updating membership records, processing membership payments, assisting with member communications/member upgrades, marketing support, and more. The SFPE Membership and Marketing Associate will collaborate with SFPE staff on marketing programs and other membership recruitment, retention, and renewal efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administration of member renewal notices (including list/records management, printing, folding, stuffing, posting, and mailing)
Providing customer service in response to inquiries
Compiling weekly and monthly data reports
Preparing distribution list for SFPE magazine and other programs
Coordinating e-mails to selected lists and other service-related celebrations
Preparing content for SFPE newsletters, website, and other communications
Assisting with member upgrades
Entering member data and payments in the database
Updating returned mail/bad addresses in the database
Assisting with committee operations
Additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred and demonstrated experience and success with customer-service and administrative functions.
Experience with association management databases (MemberSuite, etc.).
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively and professionally.
Ability to work well in a small, high-energy organization; a team player willing to take on new challenges with demonstrated ability to partner with staff and member volunteers.
Computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet applications, membership databases) and willingness to learn new platforms as required.
