The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is the unified voice and protector of the composites industry.
The Marketing and Communication department is responsible for driving the overall ACMA marketing efforts and brand awareness including event marketing. The department creates and implements the strategy for all marketing and communication activities keeping trends, analytics and member preferences in mind.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position leads key marketing efforts for overall ACMA events and core dues-related programs. While overseeing event marketing, the Marketing Manager - Programs & Events will also perform all marketing tasks for our largest B2B trade show CAMX , and those essential for growing and driving advertising & sponsorship marketing.
This includes managing a robust portfolio of marketing activities and programs; including social media efforts, email campaigns, copy development, and management of various print and digital association communication platforms (websites, social media accounts and newsletters), trade booth design, set up and management among other responsibilities. The position works collaboratively with other marketing, membership and event staff, vendors, partners and ACMA members to help set the strategic marketing direction for all events as well elevate sponsorship, exhibit and registration exposure. Also required to collaborate on budget development and oversight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create marketing plans and execute from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration, to increase reach of ACMA events.
Work with events and education team to define projections, and to coordinate on marketing efforts designed to recruit and retain exhibitors and attendees.
Promote our brand at trade shows and industry-related events. Coordinate trade show set-up and staffing.
Review effectiveness of the ACMA event branding and messaging internal and external to the organization and develop improvements within budget constraints.
Monitor data and analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to drives registration, attendance and revenue growth for all ACMA events.
Analyze the results of marketing efforts through the development and collection of metrics. Together with VP Marketing, make recommendations for improvements to the campaigns based on findings.
Together with SAMPE marketing team, develop marketing strategy for CAMX. Lead on implementation for all aspects of marketing campaign. Monitor campaign and implement changes as needed. Prepare and present reports.
Oversee various vendors including printers and designers, marketing firms, writers, website developers and others. Obtain necessary paperwork (contracts, invoices, tax forms, etc) as required, for accounting.
Create and/or manage the development of content, and relevant graphics for all ACMA and affiliate events including social media, websites, messaging, and other specific marketing and communication campaigns. Format HubSpot email including proofing. Schedule to deploy.
Provide input to and manage budgets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or other related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years' work experience with specific responsibilities in marketing of events, products, and/or programs from start to finish.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading.
Proficient with content management systems and databases (NIMBLE or SalesForce), email marketing software (HubSpot or equivalent), digital marketing software (Feathr or similar). Knowledge of drag and drop website editors (WIX, CVENT) and design software (CANVA, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign).
Understanding of current trends in marketing, communications, publishing, advertising, graphic design and social media.
Demonstrated history of marketing successful events and managing multiple event projects simultaneously.
Experience implementing digital marketing strategies and email marketing.
Strong computer skills, specifically in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe suite of products. Working knowledge of Google data analytics preferred.
Strong organization skills, ability to establish priorities, work independently as well as collaboratively and manage several projects simultaneously.
Establish positive working relationships and interact effectively with a wide range of people.
Communicate and present ideas effectively orally and in writing, in a professional manner.
Ability to interpret, analyze, organize and apply company policies, objectives, and operations requirements.
