Position Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Basic Function of the Position:
Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of Pacific Telecommunication Council’s (PTC) marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Help ensure PTC’s mission and vision are practiced throughout the organization.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations program that will enhance PTC’s image, brand, and position in the industry.
Organizing marketing and communications throughout the year to ensure the Annual Conference and other events are positioned for success with set objectives and reaching target audiences with measurable metrics.
Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
Oversee the PTC mobile app with goals to increase usage, engagement, and experience to complement the Annual Conference and other PTC events.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all of PTC’s communications.
Coordinate media interest in PTC and ensure regular contact with target media.
Coordinate the appearance of all of PTC’s brand in print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
Develop, coordinate, and oversee programs and resource materials to assist PTC’s committees in the marketing, communications, and positioning of their activities.
Support internal clients, such as the Membership Manager and Sponsorship/Advertising Manager, to ensure their individual successes and achievement of goals. Developing branding strategies for sponsorships and advertising to support revenue goals.
Assist in planning member events that help promote PTC’s mission and vision.
Writing executive communications, such as speeches and quotes, for CEO and for industry publications.
Manage PTC’s databases including accuracy and compliance with opt-in and data privacy.

Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
7-10+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success.
Experience developing and managing budgets.
Experience training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating with media.
Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.

Additional Information:
This position requires overtime and travel up to 25%.
Ability to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Annual Conference and a minimum of once per quarter to PTC’s office.
