Under the direction of the chief strategy officer, in consultation and collaboration with CEO, vice presidents, and senior management, plans, implements, administers and evaluates the project management and business planning functions of the Institute to advance it’s mission and ends.
Primary Duties:
EOS Implementation
Implement the business planning and project management initiative of the Institute.
Work with the selected implementer to engage all staff to execute the EOS model.
Annual Business Planning
Work with the Leadership and Senior Management teams to develop a multi-year business plan to include budget, resources, timelines, and key organizational metrics.
Identify and monitor key organizational metrics used to analyze progress and efficacy.
Work with CEO and CSO to incorporate key organizational metrics into CEO reporting to the Board of Trustees.
Project Management
Work with the Leadership and Senior Management teams to identify and implement project management tools, resources, and key organizational metrics for major Institute initiatives.
Educate senior staff on project management tools, resources ,and skills.
Special Projects
Work with CSO to plan, manage, and implement special projects as identified.
Communication – in collaboration with the CAI staff team:
Develop, implement, and report on key metrics for department and organizational success, demonstrating the organization’s efficacy to all stakeholders, including individual members.
Collaborate with the communications team to share new initiatives and Institute successes to its members.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, organizational management, or other related field.
Skills: Project planning, management, and execution. Excellent writing, speaking and analytical skills, understanding of trade associations and/or nonprofit management, strong proof-reading skills.
Type Experience: Project management, organizational management, nonprofit management.
Years Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
