Position Description
The Institute currently seeks a part-time Program Assistant to join our Executive Office team supporting our General Counsel. The Program Assistant will manage the General Counsel’s calendar and travel, coordinate meetings and conference calls, and provide back-up support to the Executive Office. The Program Assistant will also be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
Maintaining contract tracking system.
Assisting with privacy compliance program.
Drafting resolutions and providing support for meetings of the Board of Directors.
Compiling and maintaining US lobbying compliance data.
Assisting with member and staff wide communications relating to various compliance matters.
Managing bar membership and dues and ensuring all are up to date and paid.
Liaising with our Membership department by assisting with member questionnaires and keeping Protech updated with contacts as well as coordinating member meetings.
Assisting with speaking engagements, including speaker guidance and talking points.
Greeting visitors and answering calls for department.
Requirements
Applicants should have a college degree and at least two years of professional experience in a related field. Candidates must exhibit strong command of the English language, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment; work in a very fast paced, deadline-driven environment, and interact with all levels of staff in responding to a wide range of inquiries. Good organizational skills and attention to detail are also essential. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and database software. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week.
