If you have a passion for event planning, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Conquer Cancer Foundation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing both in-person and virtual Conquer Cancer events according to our Foundation's Strategic Plan.

This position is hybrid with a primary location in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, management, and administration of events including timeline creation, budget development and management, contract negotiations, site inspection and venue selection, vendor management, invitation list management and registration, logistics, food and beverage selection, audiovisual coordination, program development and content, speaker and in-kind supporters solicitation and management, staff, leadership, and volunteer coordination, and pre- and post-event briefings.
Optimize vendor relationships and coordinate all production requirements for virtual events.
Manage and implement high-level, donor-hosted events including budget development and management, host communications and collaborations, invitation list management and registration, logistics and host arrangements, program development and content, staff, leadership, speakers, and volunteer coordination, and pre- and post-event briefings.
Coordinate and manage event logistics for other Foundation events
Collaborate with the database team to capture and track all event and constituent activity.
Develop and foster productive communication and relationships with all Conquer Cancer divisions, ASCO departments, Board members, and volunteers and ensure brand and event guidelines are followed.
Be accountable for the overall Events budgeting process

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience
5+ years of professional experience and proven success in the design and delivery of multiple fundraising and sales-related events, including dynamic crowd-funding event models
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, fundraising, developing annual operating plans for events programs, and utilizing analytical skills to achieve measurable outcomes
Experience working with online event vendors, event registration systems, prospect and donor information systems, and reporting tools
Demonstrated project or events management experience
Strong experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
