CWEA compensates employees according to a staff compensation policy designed to ensure
equity. For this position, the established annual rate is $118,159. In accordance with policy,
new employees start at 90% of this rate ($106,343) for the first six months. Following
successful completion of this introductory period and demonstrated satisfactory
performance, pay increases to the full established rate. Please note that CWEA is not able to
negotiate a change in the pay rate.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Exhibitor & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for the strategic management,
growth, and execution of CWEA's exhibitor and event sponsorship programs, which
generate approximately $800,000 annually in non-dues revenue and support the
success of four statewide events.
This position serves as the primary relationship manager for CWEA's corporate
partners, exhibitors, and event sponsors while overseeing the systems, processes,
and operational execution that deliver an exceptional partner experience.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, business-minded professional who combines
strong relationship management, operational excellence, strategic thinking, and
project management skills. This individual will take ownership of the day-to-day
management of CWEA's exhibit and event sponsorship programs while identifying
opportunities to improve processes, increase engagement, strengthen partner
relationships, and support long-term program growth.
Success in this role means exhibitors become advocates, sponsorships deliver
measurable value to events, operational processes run efficiently, and the Director of
Education can focus on broader strategic initiatives while maintaining confidence
that the program is thriving.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Leadership & Growth
• Own and manage CWEA's exhibitor and event sponsorship programs across
annual events.
• Develop annual strategies to maintain and grow exhibitor participation,
sponsorship revenue, and partner engagement.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the exhibitor and sponsor value proposition.
• Research and recommend new revenue opportunities, engagement initiatives,
and program enhancements.
• Develop annual growth plans that support CWEA's long-term organizational
objectives.
Exhibitor & Event Sponsor Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for exhibitors and event sponsors.
• Build trusted relationships with key exhibitors and event sponsors while
ensuring all partners feel valued, heard, and supported.
• Facilitate ongoing communication before, during, and after events.
• Gather, analyze, and respond to exhibitor and sponsor feedback to
continuously improve the experience.
• Support the development and management of exhibitor advisory groups and
other engagement initiatives.
Sales & Business Development
• Develop and manage annual exhibitor and sponsorship prospectuses.
• Secure sponsorship and exhibitor commitments for all CWEA events.
• Maintain strong relationships with returning exhibitors while identifying
opportunities to attract new partners.
• Monitor revenue performance and prepare regular reports and forecasts.
Event Operations & Program Execution
• Oversee all exhibitor and event sponsorship logistics from initial commitment
